Provides Court clerk services in support of civil actions regarding private rights, arising either from contract or tort. The deputy clerks of the civil division are responsible for processing lawsuits, garnishments, evictions, personal property foreclosures and collecting cost adherent thereto. Other duties include docketing any type of pleadings filed on these cases. The civil division prepares court calendars for the Judges, and assists the Judges, attorneys, and deputies at jury trials, bench trials, prove damages hearings, dispossessory hearings, docket calls, motions and yearly calendar calls, in accordance with State Court rules and procedures.
