Recovery Place, Inc. provides quality affordable behavioral health services for all people in need in a safe therapeutic environment which promotes healing, growth, and recovery. It has proudly served Georgia and Chatham County by providing services to individuals suffering with addictive illnesses since 1985. For the DUI Court of Chatham County, Recovery Place Inc. offers a 52 week treatment program as an alternative to serving long-term jail sentences. The program incorporates an abstinence-based approach, an educational component, group therapy, individual therapy, case management services, random drug and alcohol screening, 12-step meetings developed by Alcoholics Anonymous, probation supervision, and Judicial supervision.
The DUI Court Treatment Program is focused not only on the compulsive use of a chemical, but also on the interlocking system of feelings, behaviors, and interactions with others, which often produces unmanageability in lives. The goal of our program is to motivate individuals with addictive illnesses to learn about the disease of addiction, to introduce participants into the 12-step community, to develop healthy coping skills, to better manage their lives by instilling hope and encouragement, and to live an alcohol and drug free lifestyle. |
